Description: Letter of 1766 from physician and member of the Lunar Society Erasmus Darwin to inventor and manufacturer Matthew Boulton in Birmingham regarding Boulton's visit to John Levett of Wychnor Park, Staffordshire. [Darwin's postscript] 'Please give the Post-Boy six Pence if He delivers it to night (Saturday)' [Boulton's note] 'Mr and Mrs Boulton depart at 7 on Sunday morning to Litchfd. and Wichnor in order to dine with Mr Levett they should be glad to place Dr Small in the middle of the Chaise and drop him at Litchd. where he may enjoy a philosophical feast and return with Boulton and Wife on Monday Noon at Birmingham.'
