Description: The burial vault of David Hewes (1822-1915), the San Francisco businessman who donated the "Golden Spike" driven at Promontory Summit, UT, on May 10, 1869, which joined the rails of the Central Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad to complete the First Transcontinental Railroad.
