Description: Dayspring is a home of historical significance in St. Andrews, NB and the former residence of the Baroness Lady Beaverbrook. It was built in 1929 by Lewis Egerton Smoot, an American industrialist, and subsequently purchased in 1947 by Canadian financier Sir James Dunn. The property was inherited by Lady Dunn on the death of her husband in 1956. Lady Dunn later married Max Aitken,1st Baron Lord Beaverbrook who died a year after their marriage in 1964. Lady Beaverbrook continued to live at Dayspring until her death in 1994.
