Description: Dayton, Ohio: City Transit Company trolleybus 444, built in 1947 by Pullman-Standard, at the bus stop northbound on Jefferson Street just north of 4th Avenue, in downtown Dayton, in 1968. It is displaying signage for route 3 to Richard Street (a former route that in early 1967 was extended to Hearthstone Drive and the Richard St. section abandoned), but was really operating on a special excursion for trolley fans/enthusiasts, not in service. Dayton's last Pullman trolleybuses were retired in 1973, but the Dayton trolleybus system continues to operate in 2014. Of the three buildings in the background, only the one in the center (Price Stores building) still stands.
