Description: Derwent Dam taken a little upstream from the left bank. The two towers on the wall are similar to those that were on the Möhne and Edersee Dams in Germany making the Derwent Reservoir ideal for practice runs by the Royal Air Force No. 617 Squadron (the Dambusters) prior to their raid on the German dams in 1943.
