Description: Dewsbury Minster, near to Dewsbury, Kirklees, Great Britain. A church was established here in Saxon times. The Parish of Dewsbury extended from Wakefield to Burnley. 8th Century masonry and carvings survive. Nave arcades date from 12th and 13th centuries. Tower and north aisle are by John Carr 1767. Patrick Bronte was curate here 1809-1811.
