Description: Dining room of E.L. Blumenschein House, Taos, NM. This section of the house was built in 1797 and was purchased by Blumenschein from Buck Denton in 1919. The ceiling is made of large ponderosa pine vigas covered by split cedar rajas (not visible). The mock fireplace was designed by Mary Blumenschein to hide the first water heater, which was installed in the 1930s.
