Image: Eastern Han Dynasty Confucian classics carved in stone

Description: A fragment (with rubbing paper placed on top) of the Chinese 'Stone Classics' 熹平石經. These are carved inscriptions of the Confucian Five Classics that were once installed along the roadside of the Imperial University, located right outside the capital city of Luoyang during the latter half of the Chinese Eastern Han Dynasty (2nd century AD).
