Description: Coolgardie Esperance Highway WA. Salmon Gums We regretfully tore ourselves away from the delights of Esperance to head inland to Norseman on the edge of the Nullabor Desert. The Salmon Gum (Eucalyptus salmonophloia) is one of the most beautiful trees outside of the high rainfall area of the south-west, with its spectacular salmon pink to coppery coloured bark in season, and bright green glossy leaves.
