Description: Euphemia Steele Innes (1874-1955), a Scottish nurse. She was Matron of Leeds General Infirmary, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, for 21 years. She was awarded the Royal Red Cross in 1916 for service in World War I, and she founded the Leeds Nurses' League in 1925. She is in her early 40s in this picture.
