Description: THE ORIGINAL FORT WAS BUILT ALONG THE FORBES ROAD DURING THE FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR. IT WAS LOCATED ALONG THE JUNIATA RIVER AND WAS ONE DAY FROM THE OTHERS FORTS ALONG FORBES’ ROAD. AFTER THE REVOLUTION THE FORT DECLINED AND WAS DEMOLISHED. THE PRESENT LOG BLOCKHOUSE IS A RECONSTRUCTION OF A PART OF THE ORIGINAL STAR-SHAPED FORT
