Description: Arrival at Longreach of the Armstrong Whitworth F.K.8 on the inaugural flight of the first Qantas service from Charleville to Cloncurry, Queensland, Australia. Pilot P.J. McGinness (4th from r); Engineer W.A. Baird (left). The bag (Longreach's first airmail) can be seen behind the man in white. 85 year old Alexander Kennedy, first passenger on a regular Qantas service is on McGinness' right, joining the service at Longreach and flying on to Cloncurry piloted by Fysh (2nd from r).
