Description: Fluorite Locality: Riemvasmaak, Kakamas District, Northern Cape Province, South Africa (Locality at mindat.org) Size: 7.4 x 6.9 x 6.7 cm. A fine fluorite specimen from the recent, very highly touted finds at Riemvasmaak, South Africa. Gemmy and lustrous, unique grass-green fluorite octahedrons to 3.0 cm are beautifully clustered on all sides of the starkly contrasting, 3-dimensional quartz-rich matrix. This specimen, with the large octahedron dominating the top is nicely complimented by the nearby, isolated, smaller crystal. All of the major crystals are pristine. The color is intense, deep green.
