Description: Upper floors exterior detail of the Sentinel Hotel's east wing, built in 1909 as the Seward Hotel (and renamed the Governor Hotel in 1931), at the corner of 10th & Alder, in downtown Portland, Oregon. The new name given to the Governor Hotel in 2014 was inspired by the highly stylized "sentinel" figures in terracotta along the building's roof.
