Description: The Friendship Baptist Church at 92 Herkimer Street between Bedford and Nostrand Avenues in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City was built in 1910 as the "Kismet Temple" of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Mystic Shrine, commonly referred to as "Shriners". It was designed by R. Thomas Short in the Eclectic Moorish Revival style. The building was converted to a movie theater in 1932, and became the Friendship Baptist Church in 1966.
