Description: Universally Recommended Instructions for Zazen. Zen Master Dogen, the founder of the Soto sect, returned to Japan after completing his training in Song in 1227. In addition, a book that selects and describes Zen mysteries. This volume, was handed down to Eiheiji, in the Tenpuku-era 6 years after he returned to Japan. It was written by the Zen master himself in the first year (1233). From the attached donation letter and the inscription on the outer box, Kaei. It is known that it was donated to Eiheiji Temple by Kohitsu Ryosa around 1852. Size is 28.8 cm long and 318.7 cm long. Designated as a national treasure on March 29, 1952.
