The aim of this image was exactly the same as the publicity shots/stills done in the film industry. The rear of the photo clearly indicates that the ultimate source for it was WGN-TV. Copy from back of card:"From the castle of Garfield Goose-Dear Loyal Subject: Thank you so much for writing to me. I hope you'll always watch my show on WGN-TV. Frazier says to thank you for him, too. We both hope you'll like our "family picture". (signed) your friend, Garfield Goose." The television show left the airwaves in 1976, so it is within the timeframe for the pre-1978 no copyright markings ruling.
