Description: Memorial monument for Reverend Paul Hendrik Roux on the church grounds of the Protestant NG congregation Beaufort-Wes(t). The inscription reads: "In grateful memory of the Rev. Paul H. Roux. Born September 28, 1862. Died of sleeping sickness June 8, 1911. He was a man of rare strength who faithfully and lovingly blessed this congregation for 5 years. served. Psalm 116:15. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His favored ones." Rev. J. D. Kestell inaugurated this monument on 10 July 1915 in the presence of a large crowd.
