Description: General Wade's graceful Tummel Bridge This bridge was built in 1730 by John Stewart of Kynachan, under contract to General Wade for £200, with the proviso that the builder must maintain the bridge at his own expense for twenty years. The fine bridge is now only used by pedestrians and cyclists and the view of it is spoiled by the proximity of the ugly 'modern' replacement for vehicular traffic.
