Description: Aansluitend op de Business Round Table heeft minister-president Rutte een ontmoeting en lunchbespreking met president Poetin. Ook hier staan de onderlinge handelsbetrekkingen hoog op de agenda. Nederland exporteert jaarlijks voor ongeveer 6,5 miljard euro naar Rusland. Andersom is dat ongeveer 17 miljard. Op diverse terreinen is nog groei mogelijk, zoals energie, agrofood, de maritieme sector, medische technologie en infrastructuur. Minister-president Rutte is in Rusland voor het St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Tijdens deze jaarlijkse internationale bijeenkomst in het Russische St. Petersburg spreken politici, vertegenwoordigers van het bedrijfsleven, hoogleraren en journalisten over de economische uitdagingen en kansen in de wereld. Nederland is dit jaar eregast in verband met het Nederland-Ruslandjaar 2013.
