Description: Reproduction of Medal Card for Gilbert MacKereth WO 372/13 Reproduction by Rovington® from sheet of six of Medal Card for Gilbert MacKereth World War One 1914 to 1918 WO 372/13 Sir Gilbert MacKereth first arrived at France 14 November 1915, he appears on two medal rolls, he won the Victory Medal, the British War Medal and the 1914 Star, the MC denotes the Military Cross, Commisioned Lancashire Fusilers 6 July 1916. The Victory Medal and the British War Medal are on one roll, and the Star on another. Note that the "do...do" against the British War Medal means "ditto...ditto". He was Mentioned in Despatches. For service in the Great War an oak leaf emblem could be worn with the ribbon of the Victory Medal, denoting his Mention.
