Image: Grand Junction, Co and Mt.Garfield (6003437096)
Description: (1in a 16-picture set ) Grand Junction is close to the wast border of Colorado. It lies between the Book Cliffs and the Colorado River. The name comes from the fact that the Colorado River (seen in the middle of the picture) used to be called the Grand River, and it is joined by the Gunnison River here. Normally the Book Cliffs appear much whiter than this picture indicates. That is Mt. Garfield rising above the cliffs.
