Description: The plain course of Grandsire Doubles, which is rung on 5 bells, with normally a sixth bell ringing last to make it more musical (this bell not shown). The plain course will repeat and has to be extended by "call" from the conductor to reach the maximum permutations which is 1x2x3x4x5 = 120.changes. Grandsire is a double hunt method, (bells 1 and 2 are plain hunting) and is one of the oldest known change ringing methods.
