Description: Greg Anders sprays his father, Major General Retired Bill Anders with the fire hose after completing his last flying mission in a P-51 Mustang during the Heritage Conference at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona on March 7, 2008. MG Anders was at D-M to make the conference his last flying experience. With tradition after a pilot has finished their flying status a person sprays them with a fire hose and their career is honored. MG Anders was an astronaut on Apollo 8 which was the first person to have left Earth orbit and traveled the moon. Also, MG Anders is the President for the Heritage Flight Museum.
