This photograph appeared in The Quinte Scanner on May 12, 1976 with the following caption: "Deseronto Cubs and Scouts held a successful carwash at the Smith and Mitchell garage on Main Street on Saturday. The youngsters spent most of the day sudsing and hosing down dozens of cars in their bid to raise funds for scouting activities."
