Description: IWM caption : HMS Volage showing the damage (lost bow) sustained by an influence mine laid in the Medri Channel area of the Corfu Straight in the Mediterranean. The mine was laid by Albania against international agreements. She is seen here towing HMS Saumarez (out of view), which suffered a similar fate just two hours previous.
