Description: This is not Hexaplex erythrostomus (Swainson, 1831), which is an Eastern Pacific species. Instead this is Phyllonotus margaritensis, a Western Atlantic species. This shell was collected in 1994 at Chacopata, a sugar estate in Venezuela
