Description: This specie is found in dense forests of Himalayas and China. Himalayan Palm Civet is also known as Indian Civet, which is a way different from "common Civet" (found in Asia/ Africa). The difference is the Indian Civet has no spots on the body and also have white whiskers. These specie were found all around Himalayas and China sometime back, but remained very few as of now (However Common Civets are plenty in number and are also very safe in sub tropical region of Asia and Africa). The primary reason being the habitat loss. As the forests are being vanished rapidly, Civets are also reducing by numbers.
