Description: On the spring festival of colors, Hindus and some non-Hindus roam in the streets and visit friends, families. Individuals and groups throw colored waters on each other in jest, smear colored powders on each other's face and give hugs. After play and laughs, they share snacks and drinks. Left: salty snacks and dry fruits, Middle: Gujjiya (a wrapped sweet, dry fruits energy mix), Right: Thandai (chilled drinks) to which an extract of intoxicating herb "bhang" is sometimes added.
