Description: A red guilloché enamel "Boule de Gèneve" (Geneva ball) with diamonds and sapphires, Switzerland. Geneva balls are a type of pendant watch mainly intended for women. They frequently came with a matching brooch, chain or chatelaine. Winding by rotating the hemisphere containing the dial and setting by depressing the cylindrical-shaped button while rotating the said hemisphere. Winding system by Marius Lecoultre of Geneva, Swiss patent 114, 12 January 1889.
