Description: House, Headquarters of the Union of Romanian Architects. Former Austro-Hungarian Legation. Headquarters of a State Security directorate during the communism period, it was destroyed during the December 1989 Revolution. The 2003-2007 restoration (architects Dan Marin and Zeno Bogdănescu) preserves the ruin as a memorial to the Revolution, introducing a contemporary independent volume. Cropped from the original uploaded image to reduce the modern building to de minimis to avoid violating its copyright.
