Description: Memorial erected in 1948 at the burial site within the exercise yard of Cork County Gaol of 13 IRA prisoners executed in 1920 and 1921 during the Irish War of Independence. Also named on the memorial are republicans buried elsewhere who died in custody in Cork during the War of Independence and the 1922–1923 Civil War.
