Description: It is a part of a broken breadboard which allows insight into its construction. It has a wire inserted into it which is lodged between the curved metal. A set of holes have a continuous metal running below it so that they are all at the same electrical potential. This is useful in making neat connections instead of connecting two or more wires by twisting them together.
