Description: Photograph of the Irving Place Theatre on the corner of Irving Place and East 15th Street in the Union Square neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The theatre was built in 1888 as Amberg's German Theatre, and was renamed to the Irving Place Theatre in 1893. It was converted to a warehouse for the S.Klein department store c.1962, and demolished in the early 1980s to make way for the Zeckendorf Towers.
