Description: Ancient Roman statue of Isis, in the Collection of Greek and Roman Antiquities in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna. First half of the 2nd century, found in Naples, Italy. Made out of black and white marble. Inv. # I 158. Isis, originally an Egyptian goddess, was increasingly popular amongst Romans, who made her one of their own, with Roman attire, features and dress.
