Head r., around: "ANTONIO CANOVA"/ Encircled by an uroborus: 3 lines under hat of Pallas "AL SECOLO DECIMO NONO", head of Mercury below. ANS # 1940.100.1049. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Accession # 67.219.2 Condition: EXTREMELY FINE high relief. On the reverse with a tiny edge nick at 7 o'clock, and a light edge bump at 1 o'clock.
