Description: Pictured is the western half of the grassy knoll along the north side of Elm Street in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas. In the background is the railroad overpass known as the Triple Underpass. To the right is a picket fence, one leg of which connects with the Triple Underpass, and the other which extends about twenty feet off the right side of the photograph. At the bottom of the photograph is the walk that leads from a stairway up the knoll to the parking lot behind the picket fence. The photographer was standing on a retaining wall at the southwest corner of a pergola on the knoll, the same position from which Abraham Zapruder filmed the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963.
