Description: The James T. Foley U.S. Post Office and Courthouse located at 445 Broadway in Albany, New York, was built from 1933 to 1934 and was designed by Gander, Gander & Gander; Norman R. Sturgis; and Electus Darwin Litchfield in the Art Deco style. It houses courtrooms and chambers of the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, offices of the district's U.S. Attorney, and the local offices of several federal law enforcement agencies. Until 1995 it was Albany's main post office. In 1980, the building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing building to the Downtown Albany Historic District.
