Description: As a woman at the heart of the alternative comedy scene of the 1980s, Helen Lederer performed alongside some of the groundbreaking comedians of the time. But it wasn’t all funny. She opened up to Janet Ellis about her revealing memoir Not That I’m Bitter at the 16th Chiswick Book Festival which took place during 11-18 September 2024. The Chiswick Book Festival (chiswickbookfestival.net) is a non-profit-making community event, raising money for St Michael and All Angels Church, which hosts the event, and three charities.
