Description: Juan Santamaría, Costa Rican hero of the "National Campaign" of 1856, who became famous and acclaimed for having immolated his life by burning the "Mesón de Guerra" (a old lodging place in Rivas, Nicaragua), in which they were the filibusters, enemy army of Costa Rica and Central America, with their action was able to take advantage and win the "Battle of Rivas" on April 11, 1856.
