Description: A Poole group shot of a Judge and the other players in a court including a fine looking young Garda outside a courthouse somewhere. In short, the image was very likely taken at Waterford Courthouse, in 1944, possibly around the retirement of Judge James Sealy (1876-1949). Judge Sealy had a long legal career (and some amateur sporting experience), with his time on the bench marked by some periods of levity (and otherwise) - as per the various snippets and newspaper accounts offered in the comments below....
