Description: Crossed-dipole antennas on Provo radio station KHTB-FM's transmitter on Lake Mountain, Utah. It broadcasts at a frequency of 94.9 MHz with a power of 48 kW. These crossed-dipole antennas consist of two semicircular dipole elements at an angle. They radiate circularly polarized (Cpol) radio waves in an omnidirectional radiation pattern. Four "bays" are stacked vertically to increase the horizontal gain, reducing the amount of energy radiated into the sky or down toward the ground and wasted.
