Description: Kaeng som (Thai script: แกงส้ม) is a hot and sour soup/curry made with tamarind paste and fried pla chon (Thai script: ปลาช่อน, "Snakehead fish"). This particular version of the dish is called kaeng som chaom thot (Thai script: แกงส้มชะอมทอด) which also has deep-fried cha-om (Acacia leaves) as one of its ingredients. Here it is served in a mo fai ("fire pot").
