Description: Willem III der Nederlanden Geen info bij upload door uploader; later aangevuld door BenTels: Foto genomen voor of in 1890. Auteursrecht was toen 50 jaar na dood auteur. Auteursrecht zou gelden als fotograaf overleden in of na (2005 - 50 =) 1955, dus op zijn minst 65 jaar na nemen foto. Niet verlopen zijn van auteursrecht op deze foto is onwaarschijnlijk. Ergo: De foto is te vinden in o.a. Fasseur, Cees, "Wilhelmina - De jonge koningin" (zesde druk, 2003), p. 42, en is daar gedateerd op 1878. Volgens de verantwoording is de foto genomen door J. Ganz. Over deze fotograaf is weinig bekend: volgens een bron op het internet was hij "een gerenomeerd (sic!) vak fotograaf ,die meerdere gouden medailles won op de " exposition d'Anvers " tussen 1880 en 1885" (zie [1]). Aangezien Ganz al in 1878 de volwassen leeftijd moet hebben bereikt zal hij niet later dan in 1860 zijn geboren. We mogen dus gerust aannemen dat hij minstens 50 jaar dood is (hij zou in 1958 zeker 98 jaar oud zijn geweest, een ongebruikelijk hoge leeftijd eind jaren vijftig van de vorige eeuw). Ook in Hermans, Dorine en Hooghiemstra, Daniela, "Voor de troon wordt men niet ongestraft geboren" (vierde druk, 2008) in het fotokatern tussen p.288 en p.289 is dezelfde foto te vinden. Daar is de datum 'omstreeks 1875' en is de - verder onbekende - fotograaf M. Hille. De vindplaats: Gemeentearchief Den Haag.
