Description: DISTRICT WAS ORIGINALLY KNOWN AS ANNAN’S CORNER BUT WAS CHANGED AFTER LOCAL PATRIOTS ERECTED A LIBERTY POLE AT THE CROSSROADS. IN 1781 AND 1782 5000 FRENCH SOLDIERS CAMPED HERE ON THEIR WAY TO YORKTOWN. ENGLISH FARMHOUSE BUILT IN 1750 WITH ADDITIONS CIRCA 1865. IT IS STILL A FUNCTIONING FARM.
