Description: Two of the Five Great Bosatsu at the Lecture Hall (講堂, kō-dō) at Tō-ji in Kyoto, Japant. The statue in front dates to 839 AD and has been designated a National Treasure of Japan. The statue in the back is the central image of the group of five statues and a later work. It is not part of the National Treasure nomination.
