Description: Leesville Lake (Dam) is a reservoir owned by American Electric Power. It is a smaller reservoir than Smith Mountain Lake and is located lower than Smith Mountain Lake. It is used to store water from Smith Mountain Lake and to pump water back to Smith Mountain Lake when added hydroelectric power is needed there.
