Description: The Lenthall Houses (also known as the John Lenthall Houses) located at 606 and 610 21st Street, NW in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The Federal-style homes were built in 1800 by John Lenthall, principal assistant to Benjamin Latrobe during construction of the United States Capitol. They were originally located at 614 and 616 19th Street, NW, but were moved in 1978 to prevent demolition (the old location is now occupied by one of the World Bank buildings). The Lenthall Houses are now owned by George Washington University and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Their combined 2009 property value is $2,170,900.
