Description: Lieutenant Howard Matther Burnham (1842-September 19, 1863), Chief of Artillery, United States Army, 10th Regement, Battery II, 5th Artillery, who was killed at the Battle of Chickamauga, U.S. Civil War. Shot in the breast and died two hours later. Son of Roderick H. Burnham.
