Description: Janie L. Mines, the first black female to graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy, attends lunch with the brigade of Midshipmen in King Hall in honor of Black History Month. Mines was part of the first females to enter the Naval Academy in 1976 and was the first and only black female in her class.
